I just received my Kirsten from the doll hospital with a new head. How do I put this nicely...I hate it! She was my Kirsten from childhood, the second doll I ever received. Her hair, not her face, was hopeless! It was cut really short and ragedy and frizzy. Well, last year I got a new Kirsten from AG and I love her. She is so beautiful! Well, since the newer Kirsten is beautiful, I figured then I had no worries sending my old one in for a head replacement. Wrong. She looks horrible! I can see her wig and her eye lids are a different colour than the rest of her face. Her face in general looks weird to me and it looks cheeper and fake. Pardon my complaining, but I am really sad. I hope I get used to her. I never thought something like this would bother me, but it does, I can't bare it! But on a happy note, I also received Kaya and I love her. She is really beautiful and the quality I hoped for.

Send her back as a do over. They do hold the original head for awhile but ask them to try again and be specific about what you hate. I am serious.
Also forward a note to customer service.

Lorie,
Would they do that? Would they charge me? Is there any way to get the Kirsten heads from last year? I just don't know what I would do with my older doll head, it was truly a mess.

Trust me, you won't get used to it. I had a similar experience with my old childhood Felicity that I sent in for a head replacement. I ended up getting an old Felicity off of ebay and doing the head transplant myself because I just did not like the way the new head looked. Definitely call AG and tell them you're unhappy!

Katie-
Kaya looks beautiful!
Yes, tell them you are not happy with the new head. At worst they will send her back with the old one and you can rewig her. At best they will give you a head that you love. They should not charge you and if they try to I will help you resolve it. I can be pretty fierce about getting things done.
I have had really good customer service from the doll hospital and I think they try to make you happy. Call!!!!
